Welcome to
Applied Kinesiology!

In Dr. Dana's practice, she uses a holistic approach to health called Applied Kinesiology (AK)—a specialized technique that helps us understand how your body is functioning on multiple levels. Whether you're here for pain relief, improved performance, or overall health and wellness as a preventative or in response to a health struggle, AK allows us to tailor your care to your unique needs.

What is Applied Kinesiology?

Applied Kinesiology is a diagnostic and treatment method that uses muscle testing to evaluate how your body is working. The idea is simple: your muscles are connected to every system in your body—structural, chemical, and emotional. When something is out of balance, certain muscles may weaken in response. We use this feedback as a window into your body’s inner workings. By gently testing specific muscles, we can identify: Imbalances in posture, joints, or spinal alignment Nutritional or biochemical stress Emotional patterns that may be affecting your health How different systems in the body are interacting

Why It Matters...

Instead of guessing or masking symptoms, AK gives us direct insight into why a problem is occurring. It helps us find the root cause, not just the surface issue. This means your treatment is more precise, more personal, and often more effective. With the muscle testing and nutritional testing you will immediately feel a difference to know that changes are possible. On a more personal note... Why does it matter? I want everyone to be able to FEEL that you can participate in life as fully as you want. There once was a time that I never ever imagined I could be physically able to travel across the world and drive an ATV around an ancient island in Greece. Your goals may be different...I didn't even know this was a goal...but my goal as your partner in health is to help you live your life to the fullest!

What to Expect...

During your visit, we’ll perform a series of gentle muscle tests to gather information about how your body is functioning. Based on those results, your care may include: Chiropractic adjustments to improve spinal and joint function Nutritional recommendations to support your body’s chemistry Lifestyle guidance to reduce stress and support healing Targeted therapies to rebalance the nervous system Every step is designed to restore balance and help your body function at its best. Each appointment is strengthening the foundation of your health. We build off of previous appointments. While some things we do will be the same or similar, there are also new and different tools used at various appointments.   Plan on one hour for your new patient visit, arriving early to fill out paperwork.  Follow up visits are between 20-30 minutes each.
